Kevin is working at a seismic tracking station when the report every one fears comes in. The Ring of Fire -- the huge circle of volcanoes that stretches from Hawaii to Japan up to Alaska and down the Pacific coast to Los Angeles suddenly comes alive. Volcano after volcano explode like dominoes. Hawaii is the first, leveling Honolulu in an instant, leaving only a handful of survivors trapped in an elevator high above the flaming chaos.
Kevin abandons his post and races to L.A. to warn his ex-girlfriend of the impending disaster. But when he arrives the girl doesn't believe him and just wants him gone.
At the same time a black lady on the other end of L.A. struggles with what to do about her abusive husband when she is accosted by two small-time hoods.
Meanwhile, one man and woman who were in that elevator in Honolulu arrive at LAX. Only minutes later a volcano buried deep beneath the waters of the harbor explodes, sending a tidal wave careening over the city. Block after block crumble and are dragged into the sea.
The story revolves around all the above people and how they fight to survive Nature's worst fury, making good decisions and worse ones until Fate draws them all together for one final chance at life.

usually if I rate a book as one,I hadn't been able to finish it.sorry to say,I did finish this one and as much as I hate to,a one it gets! the premises was promising.....then went downward from there.I can't even say it is beyond belief as I'm not sure there's any scientific investigating done for this book.it reminds me when I was about 12 yrs old I wanted to be an author.so I wrote.but there was no research done, barely sixth grade language used and well, no talent.I did not become an author.but if I reread what I wrote then, I'd have a basis to compare this writing style to.I'm still not even sure what this book was about! But I am glad I'm done....don't waste your money, or if free, your time.that's my adviceProduct details

It seems he did not get good reviews but I found the book to good to put down plenty of excitement and his characters where all interesting the book even makes you laugh and also sad !
You start to wonder could this be coming?
no depth in the characters. more like a campfire story. really could care less about the characters. tried to make connections between characters but it was extremely bad
It was a good story on many levels. My regret is that it was too short and ended a little abruptly. It read like a movie.
Poor character development, canned plot. Hopefully this is a first effort and the skills will improve with time. A better understanding of geology would be a plus.
Wow mind blowing good job I loved it from start to finish keep up the good work can't wait to read more from you
Enjoyable read but felt like an abrupt ending. I would have liked a little more.
The author needs a basic knowledge of geography and geology.
The characters are for the most part very wooden and boring.
I should have paid attention to the other reviews.
